Pastor Peter Deberny
Rev. Peter Deberny grew up in Buffalo, NY. He wanted to serve God as a pastor for as long as he can remember. At age seven, he recalls witnessing the love and care of his own pastor and decided to follow in his footsteps. In 2018, Pastor Deberny graduated from Concordia University Nebraska with an undergraduate degree in computer science and Pre-Seminary studies. Four years later, in 2022, he received his Masters of Divinity from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. Pastor Deberny then accepted the Divine Call to serve Grace Lutheran Church as pastor.
Pastor Deberny is passionate about the Lutheran faith and its practice. He believes it is important for all Christians to recognize that our salvation and the forgiveness of our sins come apart from ourselves and even our own feelings. The grace of God is an absolute gift which we can only receive through Jesus. Apart from the ministry, Pastor Deberny loves to cook, travel to different countries, and spend time with his golden retriever Agape.
